Melancholia update.

Well I was excited before but now i'm uber excited.I've just been chatting to my Swedish friend and she has told me that Lars Von Trier's 'Melancholia' is absolutely superb.Her exact words were "I was shaking for hours afterwards,I cried so much". We have really similar tastes in film and she is also obviously a massive LVT fan.I haven't looked forward to a film so much since waiting for Black Swan to come out.That exceeded all my expectations so I really hope this doesn't let me down. Also remember how I said a while back how I wasn't a huge Kirsten Dunst fan.Well I finally got round to watching Marie Antoinette and  i'm not eating cake but I will eat a big slice of humble pie.She was a revelation in it and can completely hold her own in a film.She's up there for me now with Michelle Williams and The Geller in my favorite blondes.Also trivia fact,I only just realised that Alexander Skasgard,the beautiful Eric in True Blood(also in Melancholia!)is the son of Stellan Skasgard who is superb  in the LVT masterpiece 'Breaking the Waves'.

I couldn't stop laughing when I saw it.I'm pretty certain it's meant to be Kate Bush right? An unflattering Kate Bush at least,or a flattering Mad Lizzie from the 80's.

Last night I finally got to see the lovely Mr Evan Dando.WOW.It was worth the years of waiting and I am possibly now more in awe of him.It was his only UK gig this year and the venue was really intimate so it really was a special night.I went with my equally Evan obsessed friend Pip and we were beside ourselves with joy.He sang everything I could have asked for and more like a human jukebox and was in fine,fine voice.Well I am still in misty bliss of euphoria which will keep me going for a bit.Come back soon,Evan.Newcastle loves you.

I love Kate Moss.I love that she got married today.I usually hate anybody getting married,being the bitter and twisted sister that I am.I even shed a tear she looked so happy and so beautiful.And how gorgeous is Lila!

What I would give to be doin the hokey cokey at their reception,no pun intended, getting drunk with Bobby Gillespie and Beth Ditto.Well done Kate,you belta.And Jamie too.Love The Kills.
